The Wizard of Oz play was bliss to my soul

Considering that I have dozens of hours of bonus features of the 1939 Wizard of Oz film with Ray Bolger and Judy Garland and on and on, and that I have a Wizard of Oz trivia game which Ive never played, have seen the pages of each musical note and notation for the tornado scene in the film by Herbert Stothart, know that Frank Morgan picked out Oz creator's L Frank Baum's own jacket when he went in the wardrobe room for the film, and that there was a Kansas tornado in real life the day Judy Garland died and moved on, you would think I would love this play right! I could go on about my fixation with the WIzard of Oz, but to review it it was a perfect way to spend a night with a friend - everything from the sets to the acting to the props to the effects to the live music(yeah!!) was perfection and true to the MGM 1939 Wizard of Oz movie!! Need I say more? See this if the money is available to support the cast and crew. Come back to Baltimore Royal Shakespeare company and Wizard of Oz play!! In 2010 or 2011 or after - don't care - come back! I never really lost my heart's desire - it's right here at home in my spirit. There's no place like home and I'm not in Kansas - I'm in Baltimore Maryland!

Fort Worth Symphony Presents "The Wizard of Oz" Concert

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is set to feature a live-to-film concert of "The Wizard of Oz" as part of its 2026-27 season. This beloved classic will be screened with the orchestra performing the iconic score, providing an immersive experience for audiences. The concert will take place at Will Rogers Auditorium on December 12, 2026, allowing fans to relive the magic of Dorothy's journey through the Land of Oz accompanied by live music.
